At The Same Hospital, Best Friends Give Birth Seconds Apart

You undoubtedly understand how exciting such times are if your best friend has ever given birth. However, picture giving birth to a child in the same hospital at the same hour as your best buddy.

Through thick and thin—and, most recently, childbirth—they remained great friends. Alex Hankins and Amanda Irvine, both 22 years old, were overjoyed to discover they were expecting twins at the same time with due dates that were only a few weeks apart.

Since it was Amanda’s first child, she gave birth first. They eventually checked into Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, where they were given rooms next to one another! The baby race began when both mothers went into labor. The infants arrived 20 minutes apart.
