Every single one of us goes through difficult times in our lives. We all have hurdles to overcome. You may look at someone else’s life from the outside and think that it seems perfect, but you have no way of knowing what the person has been through or the “mountains” they will have to climb in the future. We all have that one friend that appears to have everything together, but he or she has had their struggles.
We hope that children don’t have to experience too many difficulties, but unfortunately, some kids will have to stand up and be stronger than even many adults could be. That’s how it has been for Claudya Fritska.
Claudya was diagnosed with eye cancer at just three-months-old. Though she survived cancer, she was left without any sight. Like anyone who is blind or struggles with a disability, she has to overcome things every day. Things that most of us take for granted can be a struggle for someone navigating the world without the sense of sight.
But, Claudya is an inspiration. She may not be able to see, but as you’ll see in the video below, she sure can sing.
This brave young girl decided to show off her singing chops in an audition for ‘Indonesia’s Got Talent.’ As a fan of ‘America’s Got Talent,’ I’m always excited to see what the international talent pool brings to the table. Indonesia certainly didn’t disappoint.
Claudya took the stage, assisted by her mother. Her mom shared the little girl’s history with the judges in the audience—everyone was rooting for her even before she started to sing. But, when she belted out “I Surrender” by Celine Dion, she showed she was more than deserving of the admiration. She performed the song beautifully, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
