12-Year-Old Sings “How Great Art Thou”

It’s so important to take a break and touch base with yourself every now and then. As adults, we’re always running around, trying to make ends meet, make that work meeting in time, and getting through as many gatherings to keep up with our social commitments. So, the question is, where do you find some time for yourself?

When was the last time you did something that made you happy, or when was it that you pursued something that you were passionate about? If you can’t remember or aren’t sure what to do to take a break from everyday life, then take this little kid as a source of inspiration.

Ansley Burns is 12-years-old and loves to sing. She stands in an empty church and belts out a song that’s impossible for a lot of people to sing. She’s confident as she begins to sing “How Great Art Thou,” stressing each word and syllable while projecting her voice to the best of her ability. She may be a pre-teen but her voice can compare to some of the big guns in the industry.

The reason why this performance is special is that it’s a religious tune that really connects you to your belief. It’s amazing to see that Ansley feels so connected to what she believes in, and one of her ways of channeling this connection is by singing these hymns. It’s empowering for her and you can tell that she’s enjoying every second of it.

This performance, though, isn’t the only one she’s got under her belt. Ansley is known for her singing and is quite popular on the internet. She has taken popular songs and turned them into her own by singing various renditions. Earlier this year, Ansley sang Carrie Underwood’s “Cry Pretty” and it was something out of this world. She was so amazing that this 12-year-old even got a shoutout from the singer of the song herself!

Judging from this girl’s voice, and the way she seems so passionate about her talent, I have a feeling that she will go far! I think it’s safe to say that you can see Ansley in singing competitions and TV shows very soon!

Have you heard Ansley sing? If so, which one of her renditions is your favorite?
