5-Year-Old Stands In Front Of Mic And Belts Out Frank Sinatra Classic

How many 5-year-olds do you know who love Frank Sinatra? To be quite honest, I don’t think that many kids that young even know who Frank Sinatra is, let alone listen to his music. Well, the 5-year-old in this video is a little bit different — she not only loves the renowned singer but has also mastered a number of his songs.

We’re sure you’ve heard of Sophie Fatu and her rendition of Frank’s “Fly Me to the Moon.” If you thought that she was a cute little girl, with an amazing handle on her vocals, and a smooth voice for someone so young, then you’re in for another treat.

With the footage below, we bring you another one of Sophie’s Frank-related renditions, and this time she is casting her spell over the internet with her version of “Moon River.” Composed by Henry Mancini and picturized on Audrey Hepburn in the film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” this song instantly became a hit. “Moon River” went on to win the Grammy Award for the Song of the Year and Record of the Year, in 1962.

Given the accomplishments of this track, it’s fair to speculate that it’s not an easy song to cover. There is so much at stake when a performer gets in front of the mic and attempts to belt a tune that’s so well-known and loved by the masses. Sophie, however, was confident in her ability to do it justice.

In the music video, you can see her wearing a beautiful red dress with a matching bow in her hair, as she takes on one of the toughest, and most beloved, songs in the industry.

I remember being 5-years-old and really just being good at picking my favorite freezie out of a bunch of different colors and perhaps tying my own shoelaces. Sophie, on the other hand, has made appearances on reality TV shows and has got quite the fan following. I can see why she’s so easily likable! She’s cute as a button!

Do you think she nailed it? Click on the video below and decide for yourself!
