12-year-old boy’s charisma singing “Listen” captures internet’s heart

Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant and Dec are in charge of all the performers backstage, but they never have any idea how an audition will play out.

Neither do Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli who make up the panel.

12-year-old school boy Dylan from London shared his hopes with everyone of spending the £250,000 prize money on making an album.

And just seconds into his rendition, it became clear that the young boy’s dreams could soon become a reality.

“I don’t really sing in front of my friends, I’m a bit shy,” Dylan said before heading out on stage. “I’ve been singing since I was little with my sisters and now I’m here… and I’m very scared.”

He still went on stage and delivered a stunning performance of Beyonce’s “Listen”.

No one knows where that voice came from either, as Dylan sings it so effortlessly, hitting each note and going higher and higher to the applause of the audience.

And remember that he’s only 12, so imagine what a few more years of maturity and training will do for his voice.

To think he was too shy and scared to sing for others.

Dylan, who has been singing since he was little with his sisters, found his fear melting away as he sang, leaving all four judges and the audience mesmerized by his soulful voice.

Viewers were left very impressed, with some even calling for the golden buzzer,

“Wow. All props to Dylan. What a beautiful soul to match an incredible voice. My jaw dropped and stayed dropped from beginning to end. Wonderful beautiful talented humble. I second Tareq for the golden buzzer but selfishly want to keep seeing perform until he gets to the final”

A shocked Alesha then said, “Wow, I think I spent most of that audition just gobsmacked.”

“I wasn’t expecting not only an incredible tone, but your technique is off the scale. It was phenomenal. You are 12 years old, wow, what a find Dylan.”

“My favourite thing when we do Britain’s Got Talent is just to see a sort of gorgeous, unassuming, humble person on the stage who then completely knocks it out the park, and that was you. I mean, flawless.”

Simon Cowell was really impressed and he is not easy to please, but he said, “I like your personality.”

“You picked up one of the most iconic most difficult songs to sing as your first audition. It wasn’t perfect, but no audition is perfect, and I think it says a lot about you.”

And with that, Dylan received all four yeses, perfect to go with that sweet smile of his.
